KNOW & TELL Makes a Difference
The KNOW & TELL® training provided our staff with valuable knowledge and practical guidance regarding mandated reporting, as well as the identification of abuse and neglect. Participants gained a deeper understanding of the reporting process, what occurs after a report is made, and the legal requirements surrounding abuse and neglect in New Hampshire. The trainers were highly knowledgeable, engaging, and responsive to questions throughout the session. Despite the sensitive nature of the topic, they fostered a supportive and safe environment where staff felt comfortable discussing concerns, exploring policies, and sharing perspectives. The training was both informative and empowering, strengthening our team’s confidence in fulfilling their responsibilities as mandated reporters.

Bringing KNOW & TELL® to New Hampshire’s volunteer disaster responders strengthens a critical link in child protection. When disaster strips away the privacy of home and routine, abuse that has gone unseen often comes to light, and our volunteers may be the first trusted adults in a position to recognize it. This training gives them the language and confidence to act on what they see. It is the kind of preparedness work that builds safer communities across New Hampshire.

A lot of useful content that was well delivered! Presenters were knowledgeable and passionate about their work.
This training gave me increased awareness and knowledge. KNOW & TELL gives me the confidence to report even if I don’t have proof or a lot of specific details. I will report, if necessary, without fear of second guessing my decision to do so.
Every school in NH should be required to participate in the training. It was important to know that I can make a call to DCYF at anytime
I loved the instructors’ personalities and their anedotes! Their personal connections made it drastically more impactful. I will be able to apply the skills of how to talk to children when they’re disclosing to me. I will never hesitate to report.
The real life stories and examples that were given helped to paint a picture of what a situation might look like and how to go about dealing with it. It’s a good reminder that we need to speak up for children who can’t do it for themselves.
